Life as a Freelancer (Poem)

Life passes by. Feels like I’m only breathing
I don’t see any light in this outrageous darkness
That is carrying us both into a loop of complete madness.
Days go by. We’re still doing the same. Over and over again
Nothing changes. It is always the same.

We don’t want to fall into the arms of the 9 am to 8 pm, with the comfortable paycheck every fifteen days. We can’t. we just simply can’t. For us, it was always something way beyond that stinky and disgusting circle.

We choose to build ourselves for ourselves, We choose to have the tremendous courage of owning our time. something so precious that couldn’t be taken off of our hands by someone who doesn’t care what we dream of.

Yes, it’s the hard way but soon to be fulfilled.
The madness will be worth it.
The dark nights will be worth it.
The “over and over again” will be worth it.
And then everything will change.
because it will be worth it.

Yes, nobody said it was easy or it’s easy.
But we were the ones
who made it.
